If you choose to become an optional supporting member, please ensure that your $30.00 annual fee is also attached so you may receive your WBS t-shirt and lapel pin.

Q: Do I have to be a business major to join WBS?
A: No, we are open to all majors. Our focus is on supporting women's efforts to achieve higher level of success in the field of business, and that covers a wide-range of disciplines including psychology, health administrations, public relations, political science and more!
Q: How do I get selected for a leadership role?
A: The officers of the Society are elected annually each Spring. All Women in Business Society's candidates for elective office must be a currently enrolled student at the University of North Florida in at least six (6) credit hours each semester during term. The candidate must also be a member of the Women in Business Society at the time of submission. All elected officers are required to complete the STAR program within their term.
Q: What are the membership fees?
A: If you choose to become a supporting member, our yearly membership fee of $30.00 is optional and should be paid upon application submission. This fee will be used to cover t-shirt and food expenses for group activities throughout the year. Members of the organizations who graduate and would like to continues their membership as an alumni member are responsible for a one time alumni renewal fee of $30.00.
Q: Is WBS open to men?
A: Membership is not restricted to women; anyone who is interested in supporting our mission is welcome to join, and that includes men!
Q: How will my membership benefit me?
A: Being a member of the Women in Business Society will expose you to several professional development events, give you the chance to meet professionals from the Jacksonville community, help you gain confidence in networking, and most importantly give you a support system of fellow ambitious students like yourself! It is not uncommon for our students to gain job opportunities through networking with us.
